Relação entre cultivo de soja e desmatamento: Compreendendo a dinâmica

The aim of this report is to explore the relationship between the Amazon, climate, and the changes in this relationship that are underway as a result of forest destruction and the release of heat-trapping gases into the atmosphere.

With the objective of reflecting on the causes that led to this deforestation and stimulating a reaction by the Brazilian Public Sector, IPAM, ISA and IMAZON, present in this document their reflections on the increase in deforestation that occurred in 2013 and put forth a series of recommendations for moving forward with reductions in rates of forest destruction in the Amazon.

Esse boletim é produzido pelo Consórcio composto pelo Instituto de Pesquisa Ambiental da Amazônia (IPAM), Instituto Centro da Vida (ICV), Instituto Sócio ambiental (ISA), Fórum Mato-Grossense de Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento de MT (Formad) e Sindicato dos Trabalhadores Rurais de Lucas do Rio Verde (STRLucas), no âmbito do projeto Governança Florestal nas Cabeceiras do Rio Xingu, e faz parte das ações da Campanha ‘Y Ikatu Xingu’. Sua distribuição é gratuita nos municípios da Bacia do Xingu, em Mato Grosso.
