O Observatório do Clima, do qual o IPAM faz parte, reunido em assembleia em Atalanta (SC), lançou na noite de quarta-feira (12) uma carta em protesto contra o ataque coordenado em Brasília à proteção ambiental e aos direitos dos povos tradicionais. O documento lista a série de retrocessos promovidos pelo governo e por seus aliados parlamentares nos últimos meses, no que talvez seja a maior ofensiva antiambiental desde a Constituição de 1988. E alerta que o movimento põe em risco as metas climáticas do país, além da segurança de toda a sociedade.
