OCAA Webinars debate on improvements to the Mercosur and European Union agreement

The Amazon Observatory on Trade and Environment (OCAA) displays on Thursday, April 1st, from 8pm to 9:30pm (UTC+1 Central Europe), the second broadcast of the “OCAA Webinars” series: “Trade and Sustainable Development in the Mercosur-EU agreement: proposals for improvement under debate”.

Professor at the University of Warwick College of Law in the UK, James Harrison will present the study “Proposals on the EU-Mercosur Association Agreement and the Environment”. The report proposes improvements to the Trade and Sustainable Development chapter of the trade agreement between Mercosur and the European Union.

As debaters, the professor of the Escola de Economia de São Paulo of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) Vera Thorstensen, and the senior professor of global agribusiness at Insper and coordinator of “Insper Agro Global”, Marcos Jank, will also participate in the event.

The webinar will be moderated by the director of the Centro de Estudos de Integração e Desenvolvimento (CINDES), Sandra Rios, and will have simultaneous translation in English. Click here to access the broadcast.
