An agricultural engineer with a master’s degree in Nuclear Energy in Agriculture and a doctorate in Agronomy from the University of São Paulo (USP). He completed postdoctoral studies at the University of California, Davis, and the University of Washington. At the University of Saskatchewan in Canada, he received a Certificate in N-15 Use in Agricultural Research. Currently, he is a retired full professor at USP and a scientific advisor to the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). He signed the charter establishing IPAM.
